ACKER, William (Billy) Kenneth – age 55, of Dartmouth, passed away at Victoria General Hospital on September 24, 2024.
Born in Scarborough, Ontario on September 25, 1968. He was the son of William and Beverley (Fletcher) Acker.
Billy shared many stories of his time playing hockey, working, and at the racetrack. He spent his career doing siding and roofing; he truly took pride in his work. Billy was passionate for helping others, especially at the racetrack. He was often by Brian’s side during many checkered flag wins.
Billy, his parents, and Brian moved to Nova Scotia in 1993 from Sutton, Ontario. Billy lived in Rawdon, NS for a while, and then he moved to Dartmouth, NS; but he truly felt at home in Rawdon. Billy treasured being John and Emily’s uncle; he shared many laughs with them, he enjoyed watching them both play hockey and he always was there to help in John’s racing journey.
Billy was survived by his parents, William and Beverley Acker; brother, Brian (Amber Beuree) Acker; nephew, John Acker; niece, Emily Acker; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
As per his wishes, there will be a gathering of family and friends at a later date.
