With great sadness we say goodbye to our dearly loved mother Donalda Baker (87) of Dartmouth. She passed away on January 26, 2024 at Oakwood Terrace Nursing Home.
Mom was born in Charlottetown, PEI in 1936. Her family moved to Dartmouth in the mid-50s. Like most women of her generation, she was a stay-at-home housewife and mother. She dedicated her life to her husband, children and lovingly cared for her only grandchild during his preschool years.
She was predeceased by her parents Andrew and Muriel Westergard of Dartmouth, her sister Vaunda Crozier of East Jeddore, and her beloved husband of 48 years Edgar (Buzz) Baker of Dartmouth.
We are grateful for the time we have spent with her. Because of her determination, we had many more years than any of us expected. She leaves behind daughter Andrea Mosher (Eastern Passage), son Edgar Baker (Dartmouth), son Scott Baker and his partner Marilyn Bullen (Cole Harbour), and grandson Matthew Mosher and his wife Cindy MacNeill (Eastern Passage).
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service. A small family gathering will take place for the burial at Mount Hermon Cemetery.
