It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen Ball. He passed away peacefully at age 73 in his home in Head of Chezzetcook, NS, surrounded by family.
Born to the late Wilson “Bud” and Marie Annette Ball in Kentville, NS. He is survived by his daughter Monette McCue (Justin), granddaughters Alaina and Kylee, daughter Janette Ball (Jarrett) and grandson Braydon. He also leaves behind siblings David (Sheila), Peter (Kathy), Chris (Donna), and Michelle.
He was predeceased by his parents Bud and Annette, his wife Valeria (Wile) Ball, and brother Rick.
Stephen was great at many things, but most all he was the most devoted husband and Father. He loved so unselfishly, ensuring his family knew how much he loved them. He was always there for anyone who needed anything, especially for his girls.
His favourite past time was playing pool. In the last 20ish years, he has played in many leagues, playing a few times a week, mainly out of Dooly’s on Kempt Rd. He came to love everyone he met through pool, to be just like family.
The family would like to send a big THANK YOU to all the amazing nurses that came by the house to help look after him in his last few weeks (VON, Palliative Care, Home Care & Occupational Therapy). We’re not sure how you do what you do, but you really do make a huge difference in every family you help.
A short service followed by a reception will be held Saturday, August 31st at 2pm at JA Snow Funeral Home, Halifax
