It is with heavy hearts and deep regret that we announce the passing of David Marlow Cameron, age 52, of Rocklin on August 1, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in New Glasgow on May 9, 1972 and raised in Westville, he was a son of Cecil and Geraldine Cameron (MacKenzie); husband to Lesa Cameron (MacLeod); father to Courtney and Zack Cameron; and proud Papa to Grayson MacLeod.
David defined what it meant to be a family man.
Always by the side of his beloved wife Lesa, he cherished every moment spent with his two adult children, Courtney and Zack and his treasured grandson, Grayson. His love for his family was unwavering and evident in every action, every smile, and every shared laugh. His warmth and kindness extended to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him, but his family was the center of his universe.
A jack-of-all-trades, David was the hardest-working man we knew. He balanced the demands of managing his farm and working for Sobeys head office for over 30 years and yet was always there to lend a helping hand to his family. No job was ever too big or too small; David was there. There seemed to be nothing he couldn't do. His intelligence and quick wit made him a natural problem-solver.
David had a profound love for the outdoors. Whether he was hunting, fishing or hiking, nature was his sanctuary and he found joy in the simple pleasures in life and shared that joy with those around him.
David was more than just a husband, father, and grandfather; he was also a devoted son and brother. Surviving besides his parents, wife, children and grandchild, are sister, Vickie (Colin), brothers, Paul (Randi) and Adam (Lavana).
David's passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of his loved ones.
In remembering David, we celebrate a life too short, but well-lived. His legacy is one of love, hard work, and family. He was a man of many talents, a source of laughter, and a pillar of strength. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. David, you will be deeply missed, but your memory will forever live on in our hearts.
Funeral service on Wednesday, August 7th at 11 am at Holy Name Church, North Main Street, Westville, with a reception to follow at the church hall.
