Campbell, James Keith (Jimmy)

It is with a heavy heart that we, the family announce the passing of James ‘Jimmy’ Keith Campbell, who left this world peacefully on Monday, January 6, 2025.


Jimmy was the son of the late Malcolm and Annie Catherine (MacNeil) Campbell.


Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sandra Campbell; sisters, Carmella Moore (John) and Carol MacKinnon; brothers, Eddy (Pauline) and Wayne (Shirley); sister-in-law, Sharon Campbell; children, Keith Campbell (Suzie) and Karen Wincey; grandchildren, Kassey (Umar), Anthony, Leeah and Alexander ‘A.J.’ (Jen) and special lifelong friend, Malcolm Hickey.


Jimmy was the youngest of 14 children and as such Jimmy has many nieces and nephews that he fondly cherished as his own siblings.


Besides his parents, Jimmy was predeceased by brothers, Mack, Johnny, Lenny, Billy and Francis (in infancy); sisters, Phemie Crane, Mary Broley, and his twin sister, Jeanette (in infancy).


Jimmy was a Steelworker for many years where he made lasting friendships with colleagues and all that he met along the way. After his retirement he enjoyed spending time at Tim Hortons with many friends and playing Tarbish with family and friends.


Visitation for the late Jimmy Campbell will be held at the Pier Community Funeral Home, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church St.), Whitney Pier from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, January 12, 2025. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 11 a.m. in St. Theresa’s Church, Ashby with Fr. Evo DiPierro officiating.


In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jimmy, may be made to the SPCA, or charity of one’s choice.


Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
