It is with great sadness we announce the passing of James "Jim" Albert Casey, 72 years, of Mapleton, on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at his residence.
Born in Truro, NS, he was a son of the late Douglas Bliss and Audrey Louise (McLean) Casey.
Jim was employed with the CPR as an Engineer for over 30 years.
Jim was a kind and gentle soul who was most happy watching a good Blue Jays ball game. Jim enjoyed watching sports and especially enjoyed traveling around the Maritimes watching his grandson Keith play hockey and baseball.
He will be forever missed by his son, Kenneth (Jennifer) Casey, Oxford; his grandson, Keith Casey; sister, Beverly (Marvin) MacDonald, Leamington; brothers, John, Truro, NS, Charles, Pickering, ON, several nieces and nephews. His former wives, Georgina, Mary and Glenda. His fur companion Carly.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Sharon Coles, and Joyce Brown; brother Donald. Most recently by his fur companion Sophie.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361). In keeping with Jim's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. A family burial will take place in the Hillside Cemetery.
