Charlene Cochrane (MacIntosh) of Yarmouth, N.S. has passed away peacefully at Nakile Nursing Home on September 25th, 2024. She was born on October 18th, 1944 in Windsor, Nova Scotia to her parents, Channing and Zelba (Brown) Cochrane, both of Windsor, N.S.
Charlene was first and foremost a loving mother to five wonderful children. As time went on, she enjoyed looking up different genealogies and family trees. Later in life, traveling took up her spare time when she wasn’t gardening or finding and reading a good book. Being very independent helped her to do and experience so many new and wonderful things that couldn’t be accomplished earlier in life. Having many grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her so much joy and she will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her children: Kenneth MacIntosh (Ryan), Melody MacIntosh, Sarajane MacIntosh (Dale), Linda Munroe (Maurice), and Benjamin MacIntosh (Kyla); as well as siblings, Roberta Lawrence, Sara Riley, Barney Cochrane, and Reba Humeston; grandchildren, Chelsea, Jessica, Mackenzie, Bennet, Zoee, Charli, Allie, Jackson, and Gracie; and great grandchildren, Tanner, Seali, and Aria.
She was predeceased by her parents as well as her loving husband, Cecil “Buster” MacIntosh.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Interment will take place at Falmouth, N.S., Baptist church- 404 Town Rd on Friday October 4th,2024 at 1:00pm.
