COOK, Robin Charles (Bob)

Antigonish, NS

April 27, 1950 - February 3rd, 2024

It is with heavy and broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Robin "Bob" Charles Cook, age 73, of Roachvale, Guysborough County on Saturday February 3rd, 2024.

Born on April 27th, 1950 in Antigonish he was the son of the late Harold and Ruth (Whitman) Cook.

Bob was known for his work ethic and love for his family. He was a well known and respected man in the community. A wonderful conversationalist, with a great sense of humour, a quiet presence and a smile that made his eyes shine.

He was the owner of Chedabucto Home Hardware for 37 years and Robin Cook Enterprises Ltd.; two businesses for which he had immense pride and joy. When not working, which was seldom, he could be found spending countless hours in his garden with a fellow feline sidekick, or in his home listening and humming along to his favourite old classic country music.

He was a loving husband and best friend of Stephanie (Breen) for 37 years. Devoted father to Melissa; Dartmouth, Megan (Chas) Murphy; Kingston, Ontario. Papa was a new cherished title he had to his grandsons Xavier and Beau.

Brother to Scott (Linda) Cook; Roachvale, Mona (Doug) Smith-Pike; Truro, Jo-Ann (John) MacDonald; Ardness; Brother in law to Bill (Doris Cassidy) Todd; Brule and Paul Breen; Frankville, along with many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Margaret "Peggy" Todd and sister in law Paula Breen.

Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish on Friday, February 9th, 2024, from 2pm-7pm.  Funeral service will take place at 11:00am on Saturday, February 10th, 2024, at Wesley United Church, Guysborough, with Rev. Heather Manuel officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
