ENGLAND, Kenneth Richard

South Alton, NS

March 4, 2024


Kenneth Richard England – 77, of South Alton, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 4, 2024. Born in Kentville, he was a son of the late Jackson "Jack" and Alice (DeLong) England.


Prior to retirement, Kenneth worked for Towers Mall, New Minas and retired from Sarsfield Pie Plant. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed camping, 4-wheeling and recycling.


Kenneth will be deeply missed by his loving spouse, Laverne Mahar; sons, Richard (Heather) England and Allan (Tracey) Graves; grandsons, R.J., Jeremy, Jacoby and Udell and granddaughter Caleigh; stepdaughter, Jennifer Mahar; step-grandson, Evan States; step-granddaughter, Kindera States; and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Sandra (Bernard) McEwan; chosen brothers, Terry (Debbie) England and Jeff England; special niece, Hayley Fitzgerald; special grandniece, Aavah Fitzgerald; special nephew, Earl Johnstone; as well as several other nieces, nephews and extended family.


In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Phyllis Johnstone, Bernice Loeb, Jackie England, Roseann Johnstone and Jaquine in infancy; and brothers, Everett, Wilfred, Douglas and Martin England.


The family would like to extend their sincere thanks of appreciation to Dr. Esther Cogswell and staff, Dr. Daniel Woo, Tara Dubuc and the Palliative Care team for the exceptional care and compassion Kenneth was given.  


Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
