FOWLER, Earl Richard

Wilmot, NS

June 3, 1944 - June 14, 2024


Earl Richard Fowler, of Wilmot, Annapolis Co., formerly of West Paradise, passed away on June 14, 2024 in Valley Regional Hospital, surrounded by family.


Earl was born in Middleton, Nova Scotia on June 3, 1944. Known as the Birdman of Paradise, he was the eldest of seven children. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Robert Ralph Victor "Vic" and Mildred Gertrude (North) Fowler as well as his infant daughter, Tammy Lynn Fowler.


A beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, Earl leaves many friends and family behind. Earl is survived by his wife, Mildred Kathryn (Schofield); siblings, Donna (the late Donald) Longley, Linda (Steve) Drew, Wayne (Mary née Sabean) Fowler, Darlene (the late Gerald) Sabean, Christopher Fowler and  June Keeling (Steve Frkovic); children, Patrick Fowler (Nueva Miranda), Michael (Charlene née Dodge) Fowler, Sheri (Mark) Connors, Bonnie (Cory) Bailey, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.


Earl had a few jobs over the years, but his longest career was with Den Haan Greenhouses. Earl had a love for farming, fishing and hunting.


The family would like to thank the staff of Valley Regional Hospital for the final days of care.

In accordance with the families wishes, there will be no visitation, a celebration of life will take place on June 26, from 1-5 p.m. in the Wilmot Community Centre.


In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or VON Canada.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
