Beverly May Gibbons – 80, Brookfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, March 26, 2025, at Wynn Park Villa, Truro.
Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Edith (Stevens) Tanner.
In earlier years, Beverly worked at Stanfield’s and then looked after many children in her home for years. She was an active member of Crown Jewels (formerly Red Hatters), enjoyed photography and taking pictures, loved adventures with her grandchildren, travelling, was a huge Elvis fan and also enjoyed going to the movies multiple times each week.
Beverly is survived by her children, Paul Gibbons, Bible Hill; Tammy Gibbons (Mike Gibson), Pleasant Valley; grandchildren, Cody Gibbons, Courteney Gibbons (Aaron Reitmeier), Kelowna, British Columbia; Kelsie Gibbons-Chase, Bible Hill; sister-in-law, Susan Tanner, Annapolis Valley; many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John Lee Gibbons; brother, Marlin Tanner; two sisters in infancy.
Interment will be held at a later date in Brookfield Westside Cemetery, Carter Road, Brookfield.
If so desired, donations in Beverly’s memory to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia are welcomed.
