It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Charles Stephen Green at the Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home on January 26, 2024. Born on August 5, 1947, he was the son of the late Albert and Catherine (Huntley) Green of Grosvenor.
He was employed with Charles MacLean Forestry and Stora Enso Woodlands for many years. He was your “go-to “man when your lawnmower needed repairs. This came to him naturally. He met and became friends with many people along the way. He had a great love for the elderly; helping in any way that he could.
He is survived by his loving spouse, Kathleen, and son, Chris.; sister, Melinda; brothers, Francis, Allan, Peter, Mike and Donald; Godson, Danny McGee; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, David; sisters, Sadie, Theresa and Kathleen; Brothers, Vince, George, Willie and Seward; in-laws, A.D. and Annie McGee; nephew, John Green; and an infant sister and brother.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 31st, 2024 from 2-7pm at Green's Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on February 1, 2024 at 10am from St. Joseph's Parish, Port Hawkesbury; Rev. Joby Augustin officiating. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.
Memorial Donations may be made to the St. Joseph's Parish CWL or The Heatherton Group Home Society.
