It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Wayne Earl Hoeg, 70 years, of Springhill, on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at his residence.
Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late Cecil E. and Marion L. (McKinnon) Hoeg.
He loved fishing and was an avid supporter of the AA Program. He also loved The Toronto Blue Jays and Maple Leafs as well as a game of Bingo with his sweetheart.
He is survived by his companion, Pauline Cooke, son, Scott (Sophie); step-sons, Tanner and Kyle Betts; 3 grandchildren; brothers, Bruce and Kevin (Barb); sister, Kathy (Brian) VanSnick; his best friend, Tammy Betts; sister in laws, Jeannie (Peter) Nyitrai-Hacz, Kelly (Tim) Tucker; mother in law, Audrey MacDonald; special aunt Dorothy Lavers; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by both sets of his grandparents, many aunts and uncles, and sister-in-law Carol Hoeg.
