Wendy Lee Reid King, 70, of Pembroke, formerly of Nova Scotia, Canada, passed away in her husband's arms on Friday, January 24, 2025 at Concord Hospital, Concord, NH.


Wendy was born on March 4, 1954 in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia, Canada, she was the daughter of the late David and Marie (Wheaton) Reid.


She was educated in the local schools and went on to pursue her passion for the arts by earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Prince Edward Island. Wendy was extremely talented and loved to share her talent with others, expressing herself through pottery including dinnerware and later in life creating silk scarves and jewelry. Most recently she was employed with Gondwana Divine Clothing in Concord. Wendy loved to travel with her husband and soulmate Sam, traveling here in the US and abroad through the years as well as adventuring out to try a new restaurant. She enjoyed gardening and was thrilled to go to France on her honeymoon and visit Claude Monet's garden.


Besides her parents, Wendy was predeceased by her sister, Joan Jones.


Wendy is survived by her husband, Samuel King of Pembroke, with whom she shared 33 wonderful years, a brother, David Reid, cousin, Brian Wheaton and his wife Ruth Smith, niece, Jill Horton and her partner, many friends in NH and NS including Marilyn and the other LBR Ladies, as well as several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
