It is with heavy hearts and great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Henry Launay on Wednesday September 4, 2024 at the age of 88 surrounded by family.
He was a loving husband, incredible father, proud grandfather, and true friend to many.
Henry is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Beverly Launay; children David (Linda), Brian (Jodi), and Deanne (Gary); grandchildren Bj(Lindsay), Amy(Aaron), Evan, and Avery; great grandchildren Jordan, Bryson, Isabella, and Carter; sister Edna, brother and sister in law Bill and Jane.
He is predeceased by his mother Ann Devoe and his brother Jim Launay.
Henry had an infinite love and pride for his family. He was a loyal and dedicated employee for CO-OP Building supplies for 30+ years as a millwright and a founding member of the Coxheath Volunteer Fire Department for 65 years. He was an active member of the community and quick to lend a hand wherever he was needed. He had a strong passion for the game of golf and bowling. Henry loved cheering for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays. He touched many lives with his infectious positive attitude and hearty laugh. He will be greatly missed by many.

Visitation will be on Tuesday September 10, 2024 from 6-9pm at TW Curry Parkview Chapel at 755 George St, Sydney NS. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, Sept. 11 also at TW Curry Parkview Chapel with Fr. Conrad Edwards officiating.
