Born in Antigonish, Anna worked for many years at St. Francis Xavier University Aquatic Department and finished her career with the Opportunity Shop.

Anna liked the simple things in life such as growing up on a farm with seven siblings, her morning coffee with a newspaper and doing the daily crossword. She enjoyed hiking and snowshoeing with her friends and so many walks on ‘The Landing’.

Anna cherished her nieces and nephews, always remembering and celebrating every milestone. Her kind and loving nature was reflected in her generosity.

She is survived by her sister Peggy Doiron (Raymond), Moncton, NB, three brothers, John (Rita), Toronto, ON, Lewis (Bonnie), Moncton, NB, and Vince, Guysborough, NS. Her niece, Lindsay Ralph (Chris), Stephenville, NL, her nephew Brandon Vooro, BC. Two grand nieces, Lillian and Brooklyn and grand nephew, Drew.

Anna was predeceased by her parents, maternal grandparents Joe ‘The Hermit’ MacLellan and Margaret Ann MacDonald, paternal grandparents Matthias John MacDonald and Mary A. MacDonald, her three sisters, Jean MacDonald, Donna MacDonald and Angela Vooro, and her nephew, Andrew Doiron.

The day will not shine so brightly with Anna not in it.
