MacDonald, Stephen Allan

Labelle, NS

January 6, 2024

With great sadness, we announce the passing of our father and grandfather, Stephen Allan MacDonald, age 71. He passed away on January 6, 2024 at home in Labelle, Queens County, surrounded by the love of his two children.

Steve was a deep sea diver trained at the Diver Training Academy in Fort Pierce, Florida. His love for the ocean and this career took him on great adventures, meeting many friends along the way. He later worked as stevedore for Bowater Mersey Paper Company until he retired.

Stephen enjoyed fly fishing, canoeing, hunting and swimming. He loved motorcycles, cars and four wheeling with his grandsons. He was an avid snooker player and loved shooting pool with his son, while also being an exceptional horse show dad to his daughter. He was a wealth of knowledge, was full of humor and is the source of many treasured memories for those who knew him.

He was predeceased by loving parents Robert (Bob) and Ruth (MacLeod) MacDonald, and little brother Jaime MacDonald.

Stephen is survived by his son Robert MacDonald and grandsons Hudson, Isac and Wynston of Liverpool, along with daughter Holly (MacDonald) Leclercq and grandson Jude of Hebbville. He is fondly remembered by his special friend, Debbie Macdonald of Saint Stephen, New Brunswick.

There will be no service at Steve’s request. Donations may be made in his name to the charity of your choice. “See ya when I see ya”.
