Louisbourg, NS
July 7, 2024
On July 7, 2024, our hearts were forever broken when we suddenly said goodbye to an incredible woman, Mary MacMullin (Baldwin) of Louisbourg at the age of 83. Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, she was the heart and soul of our family. Her kindness and generosity knew no bounds.
Mary was born to the late William and Winnifred Baldwin of Louisbourg on October 31st, 1940.
Mary is survived by her sons, Kevin (Monique), Sydney and David (Sherie), Coxheath; grandchildren, Johnny (Wendy), Natalia (Daniel), Alyssa (Tyler), Brett, Jake, Tavish, Teyah and Ayden; great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Isabelle and Breton; brothers, Charlie Baldwin, Danny (Patsy) Baldwin, Billy (Aflredine) Baldwin; sisters, Joanie (Kevin) MacDonald, Betty Baldwin and Chris (Stu) Murray; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mary was predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years, Ralph MacMullin; sister, Patsy Harris; and brother-in-law, Aubrey Harris.
Mary was well-known around the town of Louisbourg for her kind and caring personality. She was a proud promoter of the town of Louisbourg and loved telling people about how beautiful the community is. For over 60 years, Mary was a member of Stella Maris Parish and CWL. She managed the Louisbourg Motorhome and RV Park for many years, where she created countless meaningful and special relationships before her retirement. She enjoyed a tea and sale, an afternoon lunch, and her nightly jeopardy gatherings.
The family would like to send a special thank you to her caregivers, family and friends, who took care of Mary over the last few years, as well the VON, especially Nancy, who Mary adored.
Visitation will take place in Stella Maris Church, Louisbourg on Wednesday July 10th from 4-7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held in the church on Thursday July 11th at 11 a.m. with Fr. Ikechukwu Alphonsus Iwuji officiating. Interment will take place in Stella Maris Cemetery, Old Town.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stella Maris Parish or the Victorian Orders of Nurses (VON).
Mom is now reunited with her one true love, our dad Ralph.
