It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Myers Evan MacNeil of Glace Bay, on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, after a brief illness.
Born in Glace Bay, he was a son of the late Effie (Myers) and Hector MacNeil.
Myers was predeceased by his wife, Rita Camilla Mary MacNeil (Browner); brother, Kelsey John MacNeil (Audrey); and his sister, Shirley Carol MacNeil.
He is survived by his brother, Jack MacNeil (Cathy); two sons, Chad MacNeil (Jessica) and Evan Myers MacNeil (Karen), Eastern Passage; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; niece, Cathy Parker; as well as several other nieces and nephews.
Myers was pipefitter and a lifetime member of local 682 Plumbers, Pipefitters and Welders Union.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Myers’ memory may be made to the local Chapter of the Cancer Society.
