Thomas George McDonald -81 of Dartmouth passed away peacefully on April 17/24 in Maplestone Enhanced Care Home.
Born in Hermitage Newfoundland to Alex McDonald and Evelyn McDonald (Albert Saunders).
Thomas worked with the Canadian Coast Guard for approximately 20 years until some health conditionsprevented him from working. He loved everything Coast Guard and even had pictures of Coast Guard boats on his walls at Maplestone.
Thomas was married to the love of his life, Norma McDonald (Sheaves) for 45 years.
He is survived by his wife Norma. His children Thomas (Trish) McDonald Dartmouth, Margaret McDonald and Sissy (Stephen) Pfaff Ontario. Stepson Joseph (Doreen) Sheaves Dartmouth. Grandchildren Noelle Power, Jessica Sheaves, Matthew Sheaves and Sarah Pfaff. Great grandchildren Kaden Power, Kruze Power, Kooper Power, Addison Sheaves and Reece Williams. Sister Doris Cox. Also several nieces and nephews.
Thomas was predeceased by his father Alex McDonald, mother Evelyn Saunders and step father Albert Saunders. A daughter in infancy Denise McDonald. Brother Johnny and sisters Catherine, Margaret and Susan.
Thomas spent the last few years at Maplestone Enhanced Care . He was a bright spot in the day for many within the home. We would like to thank them greatly for their wonderful care of Thomas.
