It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Gail, surrounded by her loving family, on September 13, 2024 at the QEII Hospital after a short and courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Halifax on January 12, 1958, she was the cherished daughter of William and Margaret (Raye) McGlone. Gail was a proud North End girl and a lifelong resident of the Hydrostone. She attended St. Joseph’s School and St. Patrick’s High.
Gail was employed with Canada Mortgage and Housing for 25 years and Costco. She also hosted many international students over the years. She loved genealogy, shopping, dining, dancing and travelling.
She is survived by her loving husband Tim Baine; adored daughter Tiffany; sister and best friend Heather; brother-in-law Ronnie; parents-in-law Pat and Peter Baine; nieces Margie, Valerie, Christina, and Kimberlee; nephews Raymond and Stephen; and much-loved cat Maybelline.
Gail will be missed by life long friends Michele (xo), Carol (hugs), cousin Valerie (xo), Brenda and Belinda.
She was predeceased by her parents William and Margaret, brothers Stevie, Ricky and Gary, and nephews Randy and Colton.
Cremation has taken place. Burial in Gates of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hope for Wildlife.
