MOODY, Lawrence Albert

MOODY, Lawrence Albert ~ Age 66, of Wilmot, Annapolis Co., passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at home. Born on March 31, 1957, in Middleton he was a son of the late Laurie E. and Jennie M. (Fredericks) Moody. 


Mr. Moody had a huge love for children and was a long-time custodian at Annapolis East Elementary School in Middleton, and was well known to staff, students and their family members. Lawrence was active in the CUPE local. He had many hobbies including carving antlers, gardening and took great pride in his lawn. Lawrence enjoyed building and repairing things, hunting and had been active with Ducks Unlimited. He was a good friend to many who would take the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. 


Lawrence his survived by his wife of 45 years, the former Brenda A. Boudreau; daughter, Jennifer (Paul) Oake, Kingston; son, Michael (Ellen) Moody, Fort McMurray, Alberta; grandchildren, Emma Moody, Digby; Hayden Moody, Greenwood; Anton Martinez, Fort McMurray, Alberta; step father, Wayne Anderson, Windsor; sisters, Leslie (Mark) Spicer, Berwick; Sheila (Roy) Harris, Cambridge; brother, Jeff (Cindy Hiltz) Moody, Burlington; several nieces and nephews.


Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a stepmother, L. Jean Moody; brother, Earl Moody.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. All are welcome to attend a memorial service, followed by a reception at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 28, both in Middleton Baptist Church, 111 Commercial St., Middleton, with Rev. Dr. Danny Smith officiating.


Flowers are welcome, donations may be made to A.E.E.S. Breakfast Program. Due to his love of fireworks, you are welcome to bring any fireworks to display that will be held following the reception and location to be announced.


Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home.
