MUNROE, John Kelvin – 69, Ingomar, passed away on October 1, 2024, at the Roseway Hospital, Sandy Point, with family by his side.
Born at Shelburne on December 1, 1954, he was a son of the late Perley and Shirley (Perry) Munroe. Kelvin was a fisherman all of his life. He was a volunteer fire fighter for 35 years with the Ingomar-Roseway Volunteer Fire Department, something that he was very proud of. In the summer months he loved trips to his cottage to enjoy the outdoors. He was a faithful member of the United Church and didn’t miss a Sunday.
Though he was a hardworker, nothing meant more to him than family. He was very involved with his family and they in turn showed him so much support and love.
The family would like to take this time to thank the VON and the staff at the Roseway Hospital for their compassionate care, it was greatly appreciated.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Paulette; children, Derrick (Blair), Darren (Paula); siblings, Francis (Dawn), Tina (Kenny), Eric (Tammy); grandchild, Jazmyne (Liam); and several nieces and nephews; and also, his four-legged sidekick, his dog, Kayla.
He was predeceased by his parents, Perley and Shirley.
Memorial donations in his name may be made to the Ingomar-Roseway Volunteer Fire Department.
