He obtained a B.A. B.Ed. from Saint Francis Xavier University while pursuing this career. Don derived great satisfaction in offering the youth of Cape Breton opportunities for career advancement through vocational education.
Following his retirement in 1994, Don enjoyed indulging his passion for playing golf, watching hockey and doting on his grandchildren.
We will all miss his solid presence. His steadfast faith in each of us remains as his legacy.
A celebration of life service will be held in Dartmouth, NS in the Spring with details to be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson's Society Nova Scotia or the Canadian Red Cross would be appreciated.
