Sheldon was employed for many years in positions he thoroughly enjoyed. He started his working career at Wolfson & Sons Clothing and The Anne Terry Tourism Project, travelling Cape Breton. While working in these positions, he was also employed as the Assistant Manager at both The Vogue and Paramount Theatres.
He continued working at the theatres for many years while employed by Devco/CBDC at Phalen and Prince Mines until their closure. Not one to be idle, he then decided to enroll in training for his Class 1 license. He obtained employment at Armour Transportation Systems as a Delivery Driver, a position in which he enjoyed meeting and talking to many people across the Sydney and Cape Breton Areas.
Sheldon was an outdoorsman who had many hilarious hunting and fishing adventures with expeditions to Newfoundland, Antigonish, and various areas of Cape Breton. He loved the outdoors and to be near the woods or on the water. His heart and soul shone when he spoke of our bungalow at, "The Island." Many decades were spent on "The Island" with numerous friendships made on land and water while enjoying the solitude and simplistic nature of the peaceful and beautiful surrounding.
"Beautiful day today, Dear. Not a ripple on the water," will be forever etched in our Memories.
Special Thank you from Sheldon's family to his sister Rhonda who was with and dedicated to Sheldon from beginning to end on his last journey in life, providing, supporting, compassion, laughter and treats every step of the way. We are forever grateful.
Thank you to Martin and Kim Campbell and Family, Kevin and Natalie Fennel, Bob Dickson, Chris Morrison, and Graham and Mary Passerini for helping our family in various ways during Sheldon's journey.
