It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Marjorie Carol Scott (nee McKay) on July 18th 2024 after a short time of ill health.
Born in Whitney, New Brunswick on December 6th 1933. She is survived by her son Nigel Balfour and his wife Marianne.
She is predeceased by her father Charles, mother Myrtle, brother Arnold (Buzzy), and niece Dawn. She is survived by her sister in law Gail Matchett, nephew Larry, nieces Carol Anne and Angela.
Marjorie was not one to let things get in her way. When the rural school she attended closed she walked into the nearest town to continue her education eventually becoming an RN. After graduating she moved to Elliot Lake where she worked as a nurse.
As per her wishes she has been cremated. Part of her ashes will be interred overlooking the Miramichi, She will be with family and next to her former family homestead. The remainder will be interred in Elliot Lake.
