Tupper, Helena Mary

Canning, NS

August 25, 2024

Helena Mary Tupper, 84, of Canning, Kings Co., passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville.

Born in Upper Canard, she was a daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Coburn) Webster.

Helena worked for Maritime Tel & Tel (now Aliant) until her retirement. After retirement she spent several years working on Forsyth’s Farm in the greenhouse; a job she truly loved. She enjoyed traveling, ticket auctions, bingo and loved gardening.

Helena was an avid Blue Jays fan and she got to see them play in Toronto a few years ago. She was such a fan that if they won, she would watch the game again. She also enjoyed reading and collecting books, and if they were really good, she would read them twice.

Helena was a member of the Ladies’ Auxiliary at the Middleton Legion, and a member of Canning New Horizons Senior Group, always volunteering for lunches and willing to participate or help in any way she could with their activities.

Helena was predeceased by her husband, John "Jack" Tupper and sister, Rosanna Tupper. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great-nephews and extended family members.

Cremation has taken place. As per Helena’s wishes there will be no service or celebration of life. Burial will take place at a later date in Scotts Bay Cemetery.

Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
