Warren, Gordon Edgar

Eastern Passage, NS

November 13, 1952 - October 17, 2024

Affectionately known as “Gordie” or “Gord” passed away at the age of 71 on Thursday Oct 17, 2024.

Gordie is survived by the love of his life Pam and was the father of Craig and Stephanie but most importantly the proud poppa of his only grand child Halle. He is also survived by his sisters Judy Farcey and Sandra Butler.

Gordie was born in Halifax and was raised in the North End.  He graduated from QEH and started working at CBC in 1972 as a mail clerk and worked his way up to film editing which was his dream job. He was recognized for his work on “Land & Sea” on the episode called “Iceberg Alley” which was an accomplishment that he was very proud of.  He retired after 36 years with CBC and started working as an Usher at “The Metro Centre” (currently known as Scotiabank Ctr) and then he took a position as a Commissionaires delivering mail to the Provincial Government Offices.  He decided to call it a day when diagnosed with Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2020.

The disease attacked Gordie swiftly when he was finally admitted to the Hospital where he stayed until a bed became available to a home care facility in 2024.  He spent his final days at Northwood Ivany Place where he received excellent care from the staff and was surrounded by love.

Gordie loved his hockey, where he played along side his son Craig in a gentleman’s hockey for years. Gordie was a diehard Toronto Maple Leafs fan.  He also loved ice skating with his granddaughter Halle.

Besides his daughter Stephanie who was the apple of his eye his wife Pam was his whole world.

They were rarely seen apart from each other. Gordie along with his family have decided that there will be no service.
