Lucy Irene Weatherbee – 85, of Hilden passed away surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at Colchester East Hants Health Centre.
Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Hollis and Winnifred (Chapman) Carter.
Lucy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother; her life was her family.
She is survived by her husband, Malcolm; daughter, Tanya (Loo), Atmore, Alberta; son, Shayne (Natasha), Hilden; siblings, Arnold, Bible Hill; Hollis Jr. (Vonnie), Sutherlands Lake; Dale, Hilden; Stanley (Frances), Camden; Brenda, Hilden; Shelly (Richard), Lower Truro; brother-in-law, Bobby, Hilden; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Lucy was predeceased by her daughters, Denise and Kimberly; son, Stacy in infancy; siblings, Cora, Calvin, Garth and Denise in infancy.
A private family graveside service will be held 2 pm on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 in Truro Cemetery, 125 Robie Street, Truro, Reverend April Hart officiating.
If so desired, donations to a charity of choice are welcomed.
