WOLFE, Elsie Marguerite

WOLFE – Elsie Marguerite, 98, of Brooklyn, Queens County passed away Friday, February 9, 2024 in Queens Manor, Liverpool, NS with family by her side.


Born in Danesville, Lunenburg County, Elsie was a daughter of the late Robie and Letha (Whynot) Connolly.


While living at home, Elsie enjoyed knitting, baking and cooking for family, get togethers with family included sons, daughters in law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters, brothers; any family at all. Elsie loved camping with her husband, sons and friends in her younger years. As her boys grew older, they spent a lot of time with friends at the cabin hunting. Elsie worked in the meat department at the IGA in Liverpool for many years and met many people there. She was a church going person and enjoyed attending the Brooklyn Anglican Church teas and made many chilies for their potlucks. Elsie is finally at peace with the love of her life “Buster” and her son Kevin.


Elsie is survived by her sons Heber Jr. (Denise Perrier) of Brighton Ont., James and Peter (Janet) both of Brooklyn, NS and Wayne (Heather) of Port Joli, NS; grandchildren Todd, Ashley, Jill, Dwight (Amy), Amy (Chad), Travis (Kayleigh), Kevin (Kaitlin); great grandchildren Brayden, Olivia, Zackary, Kennedy, Bradley, Sydney, Declan, Basil, Serenity, Summer, Sloan and K.J.; sister Betty Getson of Bridgewater, NS


Besides her parents, Elsie was predeceased by her husband Heber “Buster”, infant daughter Susan, son Kevin, sisters Kathleen Sprague, Rosabelle Whitfield and Shirley Brown; brothers Lione, James, Donald and William.


Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. No flowers by request. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia or a charity of choice. Online condolences may be made below.


The family would like to take the time to thank, Dr. Mogan and all the wonderful staff and residents at Queens Manor for the amazing care over the last few years of Mom’s life. It helped us knowing that she was being cared for by compassionate, caring and professional staff.
